It is the assamese fishing tool, it's so offtenly use in flood time, because in this times so many fish travelling small and big pounds, its use mainly during the flood time. 'Polow' is local name of the traditional tool.
Among the many tribes of Northeast and Assam, this is a very popular fishing instrument called 'Powlo', which can be seen catching fish. With the help of this tool, a person can catch fish in any beel (beel is local name of water fixed area ) pond etc. This is why it is easier to carry it weighs less. This type of equipment is made of (wire bamboo, its local skill made bamboo wire) wire or a small plastic rope. The upper bouts featured two cutaways, for easier access to the higher frets.
