New Vaccine 2 -DG







The new vaccine 2DG, has been developed by INMAS in collaboration with DRDO to combat the epidemic of covid 19.  2GD is 2- DEOXY-D-GLOCOSE This Vekchin Bidhak Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Allied

  Dr. Ananta Narayan Bhat and Dr. Sudhir Chandanai, scientists in the field of sciences, suggest that cod patients can be cured in a short period of time. 


The Drug Controler  General of India has given permission for urgent use of the drug.  According to the two scientists, the clinical trials will start on May 2, 2020 and end by October 2020.

 After the success of the first and second clinical trials, the DCI (Drug Controller General of India) conducted the third lane test and administered the vaccine to 220 patients.  When applied to the human body, covid disease can be cured in a short period of time.  It is noteworthy that in the third phase of the test, clinical trials were conducted in 11 clinics with promising results.  Therefore, DCI has approved this 2-DG vaccine to be administered to patients as soon as possible.  This medicine will be available to patients very soon .

Good news - 17 May 2021

 The first packet of 2-deoxy-D-glucose, India's first anti-covid drug for the treatment of covid-19 infection, is officially released.This medicine can be used as an adjuvant in case of cod infection. Today Hon'ble Union Minister of Defense Shri Rajnath Singh  and the Hon'ble Union Minister of Health Dr. Harsh Vardhan          has opened 2-GD vaccine.



 The drug, developed jointly by Dr Reddy's Laboratory (DRL) in Hyderabad and the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), is being administered by the country's top pharmaceutical regulator, covid-19, to patients.


 2-Deoxy-D-glucose is a glucose-modified form and the drug accumulates in infected cells, stopping viral synthesis and energy production to prevent the development of the virus.
